Pleasant Gap has something no other town we serve does: a working limestone operation, and the truck traffic that comes with it running Route 26 and Business 322 all day. Limestone dust is alkaline, and when it settles on paint and then gets rained on it doesn't simply sit there — it etches, leaving the dull, chalky patches people usually mistake for oxidation. A ceramic coating puts a sacrificial, chemically-resistant layer between that dust and your clear coat, and its hydrophobic surface means most of it sheets off in the rain instead of bonding.
