What is Ceramic Coating?
A ceramic coating is a silica-based liquid, applied by hand and left to cure into a transparent layer that bonds chemically to your clear coat rather than resting on it. That bond is the whole difference. Wax and sealants sit on the surface and get stripped away by detergent, rain and heat, which is why they last weeks — a cured coating becomes part of the surface and lasts years.
What the layer does is close up the paint. Clear coat looks smooth but is microscopically porous, and that texture is what road grime, brake dust, sap and salt grip onto and, given time and heat, etch into. A coating fills it, so contaminants sit on top and rinse away instead of working their way in. Water beading and sheeting off is the visible symptom of that.
The result is a vehicle that stays clean far more easily and holds its gloss for years. But the limits matter: a coating is chemical protection, not physical. It resists staining, etching, UV oxidation and light wash marring. It will not stop a stone. Anyone who tells you a coating makes paint chip-proof is selling something.
Why choose us for Ceramic Coating.
Every install is done in-house by our trained, certified team in a climate-controlled State College bay.
Deep, Lasting Gloss
A wetter, glassier finish than wax can produce, and one that lasts for years rather than weeks.
Hydrophobic Protection
Water beads and sheets off, carrying dirt with it, so your vehicle stays cleaner between washes.
Chemical & UV Resistance
Stronger protection against bird droppings, sap, road grime and the oxidation that dulls paint over time.
Certified System X Installer
We apply System X ceramic coatings to the manufacturer's professional standard for long-term protection.
Coatings for Every Surface
Beyond paint, we offer dedicated coatings for wheels, glass and interior surfaces, so you can protect your whole vehicle, not just the bodywork.
Easier to Maintain

How We Apply Ceramic Coatings
Every ceramic coating is applied by hand, panel by panel, in our climate-controlled State College bay, on a surface we've prepared to a flawless standard.
- 01
Wash & Decontamination
We hand wash, clay and chemically decontaminate every panel to strip bonded grime so nothing is sealed under the coating.
- 02
Paint Correction
We machine-polish out swirls, scratches and oxidation so the coating locks in a flawless, high-gloss finish rather than existing defects.
- 03
Coating Application
Certified System X coating is applied and leveled by hand, panel by panel, then checked under lighting for even coverage.
- 04
Cure & Inspection
The coating cures in our controlled environment, then we complete a final quality inspection before you pick up.
Wait about seven days before the first wash, then maintain with a pH-neutral soap and microfiber (no automatic brush washes). Coatings carry a manufacturer warranty from 3 years up to lifetime by tier. Ceramic coatings are applied to paint; we may recommend paint correction first, billed separately.
Ceramic Coating vs. Traditional Wax
Both add gloss and protection, but they're not in the same league. Here's how a ceramic coating compares to wax or a sealant.

Ceramic Coating, answered.
How long does a ceramic coating last?
A professionally applied coating generally lasts several years, depending on the product tier, storage and maintenance. Our packages range from a 3-year warranty up to lifetime. That's a major step up from wax, which lasts weeks to a few months.
What's the difference between ceramic coating and wax?
Wax is a temporary sacrificial layer lasting weeks to months. A ceramic coating chemically bonds to the paint and lasts years, offering stronger protection, better gloss and easier washing.
Do I need paint correction first?
Usually, yes. A coating locks in whatever is underneath it, so we correct swirls, scratches and oxidation first to seal in a clear, glossy finish rather than existing defects. Correction is billed separately after we inspect your paint.
Does a ceramic coating make my car scratch-proof?
No coating is scratch-proof. Ceramic adds hardness and resists light swirls and marring, but it won't stop rock chips or deep scratches. For physical impact protection, pair it with paint protection film.
Can you coat more than just the paint?
Yes. Beyond exterior paint coatings we offer dedicated ceramic coatings for wheels, glass, and interior surfaces like leather, plastics and mats, so almost any surface can be protected. Ask us about a custom combination.
How do I maintain a ceramic coating?
Maintenance is easy: wash with a pH-neutral soap every couple of weeks, skip automatic brush washes, and dry with a clean microfiber. The coating's hydrophobic properties do most of the work, and we'll send you care instructions.
How soon can I wash my car after coating?
Wait about seven days before the first wash so the coating fully cures, and keep the vehicle dry during that window where possible. We'll cover the specifics when you pick up.
Is a new car a good time to coat?
Yes, it's the ideal time. The paint is fresh, so a light prep plus coating locks in that factory finish from day one. We still decontaminate and inspect before applying.
